St Margrets Central School situates at one of the outskirts of Kollam district. The surroundings of school abounds with beauty of nature. The calm and serene atmosphere plays a vital role in the character formation of the students. The school consists of 420 students, 22 teaching and 2 non teaching staff. School assembly held twice a week. The teachers are vigilant enough to monitor the discipline of the school. A library with 3000 books makes the students collect knowledge concerning science, maths, social science, current affairs and languages. The science lab seems to be a world of wonders which provides opportunities to practice what pupils studied in the class rooms. In the computer lab pupils handle the computer freely and improve their efficiency in information technology. In the smart class students seems to be active learners through visual communication. The students are trained to form a well built body in the play ground and are given practice for various sports and games. The co-operation of the parents strengthens the school.
VISION
St Margrets School foresees a value based education through which young boys and girls equip themselves to be useful citizens. They are strengthened to take the maximum positive decisions in the face of the most difficult situations. The particular atmosphere of the school make the pupils God fearing and thereby they foster in themselves a deep love of the Creator and the creation. Thus the management and school strive to fulfil the charism of our patron, St. Francis of Assisi who loved the creation which reflected the Ultimate Truth.
